Get set to improve your health! Many people across the world continuously consider their health goals and how they can live healthier, happier lives. Did you make a New Year’s resolution to improve your health in some way? Whether it be eating better, sleeping more, losing weight, or cutting back on stress, maybe you haven’t exactly been focused on this resolution as of late. Hey, no judgment… life is hectic. That is why we have written this article to help boost health in 5 minutes
1. A Journal of Thankfulness
Taking a few minutes each day to reflect on the blessings in your life might help you gain perspective. Keeping a positive attitude has been linked to better health and less stress, which is the biggest health problem in our world today.
2. A Brief Interlude in Nature
Regardless of the weather, spending time outside has numerous health benefits. It’s refreshing to take little breaks to go outside and breathe some fresh air. Further, earthing has remarkable overall health advantages, and vitamin D helps boost health and immune system.
3. F45
You can get your workout in under an hour. With F45, you can get in a quick workout during your break. You can get stronger, have more stamina, shed pounds, and alter unhealthy behaviors.
4. Relaxation Techniques
Put the brakes on and take it easy for a moment. Although the main benefits of meditation are stress reduction and increased relaxation, research also shows that doing deep breathing exercises can increase stamina, address respiratory problems, and enhance circulation. It’s a basic, easy method for improving health.
5. Buy Food Online
Hang on a second. Have you ever gone grocery shopping and just bought whatever was on sale (or looked the most enticing)? You can more easily maintain your dietary goals by doing your shopping online. Plus, it’s helpful for your finances because you won’t be making as many unnecessary purchases.
6. Meal Plan
Meal preparation, like grocery shopping, may do a lot for your health. If you plan your meals ahead of time, you’ll be more likely to eat nutritious, whole foods. In addition, when you have a tasty meal cooked at home, you are less likely to go out to restaurants.
7. Human Connection
We evolved to interact with others. With all the social media we have access to, it’s easy to fool ourselves into thinking we’re forming meaningful connections with others. It’s important to make time for real human interaction on a regular basis if you want to live a healthy life. Obviously, more than five minutes a day is ideal.
8. Get up from your chair more often
A surefire strategy to improve your health is to get up from your chair and walk around every five minutes. Research has shown that sitting for long periods of time is harmful to your health. Every half hour or so, get up from your desk and go for a walk around the office, or do whatever you need to do to get out of your chair; you’ll feel better and have more energy.
9. Hydrate Yourself
People have long been advised of the importance of being hydrated and drinking water, but many continue to ignore this advice. Substitute water or your preferred beverage. You’ll be giving your body what it needs while simultaneously ridding yourself of sugar and other substances it doesn’t like. (Just try not to go overboard.)
10. Hug People
Go and find a loved one and hug them. A nice, extended embrace. When you hug someone, the hormone oxytocin is released. This hormone has many effects, such as making you feel better, reducing inflammation and anxiety, and more. Dole out daily hugs to yourself.
11. Clean up your space
You may do a lot of good for your mental health by clearing the clutter in your life. The stress and anxiety levels can be reduced by getting rid of the things that aren’t needed anymore. It has been shown that clearing the clutter from your life will help you make better decisions and get a better night’s rest.
12. Be a Good Samaritan
I’ve always believed in the power of good karma, so I can say that it’s true. When we perform acts of service for others, we not only improve our own well-being but also that of the recipient. Taking the time to do something kind for someone else is a great way to slow down and appreciate the people in our lives. Take it easy. Serve. Feel joy. All of these things belong to a life that is well-balanced and healthy.
13. Use the Elevator
Maintaining physical activity with this easy method is recommended. If you have the option, choose the stairs. Put your body to use and move it, and it will respond by becoming stronger and healthier.
14. Set a Bed Time
Not only does going to bed at the same time every night help your body establish healthy sleep habits, but it also helps you get enough sleep each night. It’s simple to lose track of time between daily errands, screen time, social media, obligations, and children. Avoiding sleepiness and late nights is easier if you give yourself a strict bedtime.
15. Take Some Time for Yourself
Taking some time for oneself is vital, however, it’s something that many people neglect. If you want to start the day off right, do anything that makes you happy, be it a hot bath, an episode of your favorite TV show, a nice book, a leisurely breakfast before the rest of the house awakes, or anything else. Taking time for yourself can have a big impact on how you feel about life and how healthy you are.
There’s no time like the present to start improving your health, but that doesn’t mean you should put too much pressure on yourself. Well, what do you think? I’m curious: what are your plans for improving your health in 2018?
