Ways of adding more protein into your day is having some eggs for breakfast, chicken/beef/turkey/pork with your choice of side for lunch and the same for dinner. You can also buy some protein powder and start incorporating it into your daily smoothies, or opt for healthier vegan protein options like tofu, tempeh or even peanut butter!

Avoid Processed Foods

It got to a point where I couldn’t use my knife and fork again until I had properly chewed and swallowed my food.

If you eat too fast, you may eat way too many calories before your body even realises that you are full. Studies show that those who are faster eaters are much more likely to suffer with obesity than those who eat more slowly.

So next time you are eating a meal, chew more slowly, actually enjoy the meal you are eating and use my mothers old trick, don’t pick up more food with your knife and fork until you have swallowed the food currently in your mouth. It’s good manners too!
