Studies show that being aware of what you are eating is vital when trying to lose weight and majority of the time people don’t really have a clue how much they are really eating. Start using a food diary or an app such as My Fitness Pal to keep an eye on what and how much you are really consuming.

Protein is one of the most important nutrients for losing weight. Protein consumption can boost metabolism by 80-100 calories per day and also radically reduces cravings and unnecessary snacking. Studies show that having a high-protein breakfast will result in you being less hungry during the day and keep cravings at bay.

You’re Eating Too Many Calories

This links in with keeping track of your diet, sometimes we can be eating too many calories and not realizing because we aren’t keeping track. We encourage that you start using a calorie calculator to help you stay on track.

You’re Not Eating Whole Foods

Processed foods aren’t really that healthy and aren’t the best for aiding weight loss. Ensure you are eating whole healthy foods, which will not only aid in weight loss but improve your overall wellbeing and regulate your appetite.

Good sleep is one of the most important factors for mental health, physical health and weight. Studies show that poor sleep is one of the single biggest risk factors for obesity. If you are bad at maintaining your water consumption, try setting reminders throughout the day or adding in fresh fruit for a flavor hit!

You’re Overwhelmed

A hormone called cortisol is a stress hormone and your body releases this when you are under severe stress, which directly impacts your fat storage and weight gain.
