All Natural Breakfast Bars
Ingredients
- 1-teaspoon almond extract
- ¾ rolled oats
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 1-teaspoon flax seeds
- 2-teaspoons cinnamon
- ½-teaspoon nutmeg
- 2-teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 small banana
- ½ cup almonds
- ¼ cup honey
Method
- In food processor combine all ingredients, pulsing until well mixed, stirring between pulses.
- Press mixture into 8 x 8 inch pan.
- Freeze until firm, approximately 1 hour.
- Cut into 16 bars.
- Note: can be stored in freezer either wrapped individually or together.
One serving (one bar) is only 135 calories! Perfect breakfast when you are on the go!
